I'm an IHSS Provider for my 8 years old son. I also did child care for my sisters 2 kids who were 6 years old and 5 years old.

Some indoor activities i do with kids are either play any games that they would like to play with. Sometimes help them read books or help them with homework. Sometimes I'll take them to the park near by and watch them play on the play ground.

Making sure the kids are being fed, and taking very good care of them to where they won't get hurt and making them happy.
My experience with special needs children...
My son has autism. And I have to care for him 24/7 due to how he is. I would feed him, make sure he uses the toilet, and teach him how to try and do things on his own safely.

Hanging out with them and just doing a lot of playing games or reading books or singing songs.
