A little bit about me

My name is Nakita, I am 38 years old. I have been a professional nanny in the DMV area for over 10 years, with a total of 17 years in childcare all together. I currently live in Washington DC.

I have been full time nanny for children age 6 weeks old to 5 years old. I absolutely love the experience!

After working with single families, I took the opportunity to welcome nanny shares.

I speak English fluently. I am CPR certified, a non-smoker as well as I have a clean driving record. I have a passion for arts and crafts activities. I am big on child development.

I also have been fully vaccinated/boosted. I take precautions and practice sanitization to keep a healthy record for myself and children in my care. I hope to hear from you soon!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Relevant experience includes caring for children, including hands-on nanny work in which I supported daily routines, created fun and educational activities, and provided a safe, loving environment where children felt comfortable, seen, and cared for.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy activities that let children have fun while learning—like arts and crafts, dance parties, reading together, outdoor adventures, and imaginative play. I love creating moments where they feel free, happy, and engaged.

The most important part about being a nanny...

At the core, it comes down to trust. A family is placing their child, what matters most to them, into your care. That means your role goes far beyond feeding, changing, or supervising. You’re helping shape how that child feels about safety, love, structure, and even themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when a child feels safe, seen, and loved in my care. That’s the moment I know I’m walking in purpose, not just doing a job.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Olufunmilayo J.

Hi, my name is Olufunmilayo, but my friends call me Sarie! I'm a 27-year-old certified educator with three years of experience teaching 7th grade math. Working with kids is not just my career — it's my passion.
This summer I'm looking to connect with a steady family who needs a reliable, trustworthy extra set of hands. I have hands-on childcare experience at the JCC Community Center and as a camp counselor working with diverse families and cultures. Younger kids are my sweet spot!
I'm fun and easygoing but value structure and consistency. I love keeping kids active outdoors — cycling, sewing, fashion projects and more. CPR and First Aid certified with my own transportation.
I'm ready to become a trusted adult your children can count on. Let's connect!
