I’ve volunteered through a program where you are one on one with a child with special needs ranging from mild autism, to Down syndrome and cerebral palsy! I did this every Saturday for 6 hours!

I had a child who was very stand offish and would always play with me, but was always very distant and always wanted mom or dad, but after continuously trying and never giving up, one day out of nowhere he ran up to me and hugged me and kissed my cheek and told me how much he loved me and never wanted me to leave!
