More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteer at my church within the special-needs unit tent for kids usually on Saturdays, and then I also volunteer in the children’s tent (ages0-5) on Sundays. I have younger cousins that I’ve grown up watching for my aunts and uncles, so I know the rundown of all the children's activities. I worked at a boutique and my boss used to make me run errands for her & her home, and there would be times when I would pick up her daughter from school and be the nanny for the rest of the day.

i believe it showing love to the kids and showing them that they are your number one priority.

My experience with special needs children...

I loved working in the special needs unit, I got to learn how to cope with the children and their needs, and I got to work with had down syndrome babies/ toddlers, also toddlers that had autism. personally, I was able to show a lot of love to each kid individually, and there were times when the child would be attached even as the parents would show up to take them out of the hut.

The most important part about being a nanny...

one rememberable event would have to be when I took my kid swimming, and they had already taken the professional classes for swimming and they called me over to the deep end to watch them jump in, of course, I was terrified and I tried my hardest to tell them, no, but I learned that a kid will only try something that dangerous if they have a good grip of that skill, so I swam to the deep end just in case I needed to assist them and when they jumped they came back up and we all swam to the shallow area to celebrate, later after the pool I explained the huge accomplishment of the child to her parents and we went out to get frozen yogurt to celebrate.
