More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For the last 2 years, I lived with a family with 3 kids (ages 3-11). I would help with school pickups, after-school drop-offs, homework, and art activities. I also worked with many young families while on the Big Island, serving a pregnancy center and providing both childcare and cleaning for families in need of assistance. I have been able to do a lot of travel and work with kids along the way, creating programming both here in Hawaii and cross-culturally.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy using art as a form of learning with kids. And if it's outside, even better! Observation and art are such fun ways for kids to learn and interact with the world around them. I enjoy reading and going on adventures together. The library and park are some of my favorite outings.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Has to be the responsibility of impact, not just for the child, but for the whole family. I care a lot for moms and dads to feel empowered to be the best parents they can be. Family is the most important, and if I can help a family's strength with a break and refreshment, that's awesome!
