I have worked with children since I was 13 years old, providing part time child care during my own adolescence. When I graduated college I continued working with children in youth residential programs, community mental health, behavioral support, and currently I am a social worker with the Department of Children Youth and Families in their child welfare division. My work has involved ensuring child safety and wellbeing for children of all ages and abilities. I have experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities and dangerous behaviors and have a lot of experience with deescalation. Since I was a teen I have known I want to work with children, and currently in my life I do not have any children of my own, and I would love to involve myself with a family (or families) and support them with the care and development and their children.
