A little bit about me

I have been working as a nanny live-in for the past 3 years taking care of 3 boys (12,12,14 nowadays) 9,9,11 when I first arrived. I have taken care of kids starting at the age of 4 occasionally, but I mostly worked with kids from 6 to 16. I am from Brazil and I lived with my sister and my two nephews, who are older nowadays, but I helped take care of them as babies too. So I have experience with babies, but not as a nanny. Currently I work Monday to Friday (7-9am and then 2:20-7:30pm) and I am currently looking for a new family for JUNE, JULY or AUGUST since my host family will not need childcare anymore. I am a friendly, caring person and would love to help you take care of your little ones. I speak fluent English, Portuguese (native) and I am learning Spanish (I can understand most of it, but I have more difficulty speaking). I have been an English Teacher in Brazil for 8 years. And during these years I have always worked with children. I helped in summer camps too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy cooking with kids, playing board games, card games, doing puzzles, origami, engaging in seasonal activities like egg coloring, pumpkin carving, ginger bread houses building, helping with homework, playing pickle ball, going to the library, to parks and supporting the kids with the activities they are engaged and enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of it is knowing that you are contributing to the growth of a little human being, who is learning how to live in our world. Our role is so important that we get to help him/her thrive and it is very beautiful to see the progress they make over time, with our help and the help of their loved ones.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think one of my sweetest memories was when I joined my host family on a family trip and we went boat rafting together. It was a lively day, full of fun, laughs and great moments together.
