Hello! My name is Nevaeh Shaw. I’m originally from Georgia, but I now consider Tyler my hometown. I’m currently enrolled in TJC to get my backup degree before I head off to flight school to fulfill my dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. Until then though, I have some bills to pay, and what better way to raise the money than to spend my time with kids. I love children, and being around other peoples’ kids helps to calm my baby fever down which is a good thing at my age.

For the past five years, I have volunteered at both Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and Gateway Baptist Church during their summer VBS programs. At Gateway, I was the snack room helper and at Mt. Carmel, I was one of the arts and crafts helpers.

Children are highly impressionable. I like to do things with them that are creative or build useful skills such as arts and crafts and showing them how to cook their favorite meals. I also enjoy going to Rose Rudman and playing with them on the playground.
