Preschool Teacher at Lakeland Hills YMCA Early Learning Center from July 2022-Present. Mainly worked will ages 2-5.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging kids in fun and meaningful activities that support their growth and creativity. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, storytime, dancing and singing, and imaginative play like dress-up or building with blocks. I also enjoy spending time outdoors with kids—whether we’re drawing with chalk, going on a mini nature walk, or playing simple games. I’m always happy to help with routines and enjoy turning everyday tasks into fun, positive experiences. I aim to create a playful, nurturing environment where kids feel safe, supported, and excited to learn and grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is building trust, with both the child and their family. Kids need to feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for, and parents need to know they’re leaving their child with someone who treats them like their own. It’s about being present, encouraging their growth, and creating a positive, dependable environment where they can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally.

My current experience revolves around my recent job at Celebrate the Children where I work as an assistant teacher and help foster a positive environment for 1st graders with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite babysitting memories was with a little boy who was really shy when I first started watching him. He barely spoke to anyone and would always hide behind his mom during drop-off. I started bringing simple craft supplies and we’d sit together making paper animals or painting with watercolors. Slowly, he started opening up—talking more, laughing, and eventually showing me his own ideas for crafts.
