A little bit about me

Hi. I’m Nicole. I am the oldest of 6 so my child rearing skills began way back. I have a masters in special education and a laundry list of experience working with kids of all ages including special needs. I have worked the past 7 years as a community habilitation specialist and I have 2 children of my own, one of which is blind. I also adopted my fiancés two daughters 12 and 14. I love animals and nature- I have two cats and two dogs. I love crafts and adventures to anywhere. I am creative and resourceful and can come up with activities fast. I work well under pressure and with challenging situations. I am familiar with the Hudson valley and grew up here. I am looking for something worth my effort and has some flexibility which is why I will be leaving my current position to explore something closer to my home.

Besides babysitting when I was young, I worked at a Boces, I also have subbed in every grade imaginable and helped run a Kumon tutoring center.

I love anything. Kids make it fun and I enjoy making mundane things fun. I personally enjoy being in nature, walks, making crafts, playing with animals(haha that sounds weird) and reading up on my interests and reading stories aloud.
