Hi! I’m Nicole! I’m a mom of five and a proud grandma, so caring for children has truly been a lifelong part of who I am. I’ve been nurturing little ones since I was about 12, and caring for children has always come very naturally to me.

I love kids’ curiosity, creativity, and spontaneity, and I enjoy creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where they can learn and be themselves. I also love cooking and baking and especially enjoy getting kids involved—it’s such a fun way to connect and create memories together! I’m happy to help with light housekeeping and keeping things tidy along the way.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a mother of 5 children. I have 4 daughters and 1 son. Aging from 7 to 23 years old. I also have a 11 month old grandbaby that is so fun. I have watched friends, family, and neighbor children for working parents for many years as well. I am CPR certified as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With my own children I love to get them outside and seeing the world. We love to go on walks and trips to the parks. I also love doing crafts and fun little projects with my kids. One of my favorite things to do is bake and cook. Although not all ages of children are able to be safe in the kitchen, I do think that it can help, with most children, to start teaching them young. I think getting children excited about healthy foods, cooking, and baking is a big part of helping them grow and learn for their future.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, safety always comes first. Beyond that, I think children thrive when they have consistency, structure, and plenty of opportunities to play and have fun. I like having a general rhythm to the day while still leaving room for dancing in the kitchen, getting outside, being creative, or simply following their interests. I also love cooking and staying active, and I think those are great habits to introduce to kids in a fun and natural way. Most importantly, I want children to feel safe, loved, heard, and genuinely enjoy their time with me.

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have a lot of experience with special needs children. I have only assisted others who were main care takers. But that isn’t to say that I wouldn’t be interested in learning and working with any amazing child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I had one little 3 year old boy that I watched for a neighbor friend three days per week. When he would leave he would hug me around my legs and say, “I love you!”. It was so cute and fulfilling. His mom was a friend, and loved that he was happy with the person that was watching him.
