Hi! I’m Nicole, in my late 20s, and I love working with kids and creating a fun, supportive space where they can learn and just be themselves. I’ve spent time with kids ages 5–12, helping with homework (math, social studies, science, art), and making time for outdoor play, crafts, and even a little Spanish. I started this work to learn how to be a great mom someday, it’s helped me grow in patience, empathy, and understanding how kids think and feel. Childcare is challenging but so rewarding. I enjoy silly conversations, hearing kids questions and admiring their imagination. I adjust to each child’s needs and love mixing learning with creativity. Outside of childcare, I’m into video games, anime, Star Wars, LEGO, and arts and crafts, great for bonding! I also love animals and have two cats, so I’m totally fine with pets. I’m excited to meet your family and spend time getting to know your little one(s)!

Activities I enjoy doing with children are ones that combine learning with fun.

I use arts and crafts to help with things like learning letters and numbers, and I encourage kids to create their own stories so they can practice writing and drawing. I’ve also created a simple reward system where kids earn points by doing chores and can exchange them for a prize, they love it! I use reading time as a reward too, since many kids enjoy picking out their own books. I also like using card games like Uno to teach numbers and colors in both English and Spanish. These fun activities help kids stay engaged while building important skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a safe, supportive, and loving environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. It’s not just about keeping them safe, it’s about helping them grow, encouraging their creativity, and being someone they can trust. Every child is different, so I think it’s important to be patient, flexible, and really listen to their needs. Building that bond makes all the difference.

The time I got into a serious debate with the kids about the best ice cream flavor. What started as a simple question turned into a full-on discussion with passionate arguments. Moments like that really stick with me because they show how imaginative and funny kids can be. I love those silly conversations and making up stories together. It’s those little moments of connection and laughter that make this work so special.
