More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working as a kids camp counselor at a private club, where I planned and led daily activities for children of all ages, including some with special needs. I was also a nanny throughout college for a one-year-old, so I’m very comfortable with toddlers and all the care that comes with that stage. Diapers, routines, developmental play, and more. I’ve also regularly babysat for family friends and neighbors over the years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

going on walks or little outings, playing outside, doing crafts, reading books together, dancing, and coming up with fun pretend play games. I also love turning everyday moments into learning opportunities, whether it’s counting while we clean up or talking about feelings during play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part is building a trusting relationship with both the child and the family. Kids thrive when they feel safe, loved, and heard, and I believe being a steady, kind, and present adult in their lives can make a lasting impact.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with several children with special needs, including one-on-one care for a young boy with autism while nannying. I also supported kids with sensory and behavioral needs during my time as a camp counselor. I’ve learned how important patience, flexibility, and communication are, and I always aim to create a calm, supportive environment where every child feels safe and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was teaching the little boy I cared for who Bob the Builder was. He got so into it that now he calls every single toy “Bob,” whether it’s a truck, a dinosaur, or even a spoon. It still makes me laugh. It was such a cute phase and showed how excited he was to learn something new.
