More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've been involved in childcare since a very young age, caring not only for my baby sister but also for all my many cousins. My journey began with babysitting at 12, and since then, I've continued to grow and expand my expertise.
In both paid and volunteer roles, I've served as an early childhood assistant at a not-for-profit daycare, where I learned about child development and nurtured children in a structured setting. I oversaw daily activities to foster positive social interactions.
Additionally, my time as a junior coach for a U9 ringette team and my summer spent as a camp counselor taught me valuable leadership skills. I learned how to create and plan engaging and enriching activities for little ones.
Further, completing two high school "parenting" classes (Raising Healthy Children and Families in Canada) provided hands-on experience in structured caregiving. Three times a week, kids would be brought into the school, and we would actively learn new strategies for childcare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in a variety of activities that promote creativity, learning, and active play. Whatever it is, I like to follow their lead and tailor our activities to their interests and preferences.
Indoors, we might dive into arts and crafts projects, build epic forts, or whip up delicious treats in the kitchen. On rainy days, we might embark on indoor scavenger hunts, or break into my huge collection of board games and camp games.
I also love tapping into their imaginations with puppet shows and storytelling. When weather permits, we might venture outdoors for nature walks, playground fun, and sports activities. Whether we're having a picnic in the park, or going on a walk or bike ride, there's always an opportunity for fun and exploration. Plus, I'm a huge fan of museum and library visits, where we can discover new worlds through books and hands-on exhibits.
I'm always armed with exciting activities and games to keep them entertained without relying on screens.
