A little bit about me

Hi! I am a 35 year old mother of a ten yr old girl. I have experience with epilepsy, ketotic hypoglycemia, adhd, & more. I will share that I was diagnosed with adhd in 3rd grade and have a unique perspective on the challenges children and families face. I was a preschool teacher to a mixed age group at a local private preschool, where I started as an intern in highschool & stayed for 7 years. I was lead teacher in an infant room with ages ranging from 6weeks to 12 mo, & covered a maternity leave in the young toddler room. I am very hands on, love to explore in nature. I have taken early childhood creativity classes along with all the eec classes needed for an associates but life happened and I was unable to finish my degree. I lam big on letting children be children, to get dirty, explore the world around them, and follow their lead on what to explore. I have had years of working closely with children with severe allergies. Let's see if we are a good match!

Anything and everything. I have access to discount tickets to many museums and aquariums in the Berkshires And love exploring the world around us. We love the outdoor time, hiking, different types of sensory walks. We also love to go to different libraries, story times, building things, imaginative play, cooking, water play. Literally anything they like, as long as it's safe and allowed, I'm pretty go with the flow, so I'm always up for anything.

My experience with special needs children...

My daughter has had a breathing obstruction room, severe "colic", kidney reflux, ketotic hypoglycemia, and was recently diagnosed with Benign Rolandic epilepsy. I have worked with children with autism, ODD, I have adhd and am very understanding with children and can give parents a different view on the issues at hand.
