A little bit about me

Im a fluent English speaker from South Africa in the USA for 9 years now, with pure and unjustified love for children as seeds of this earth. I have taken care of children for as long as I can imagine, coming from a family of 15 kids, growing up I felt joy participating in community service programs in helping Youth. In my past experiences I worked in orphanages, child abuse shelters as well as developing a library in an underprivileged city called Hilbrow in South Africa, this had me elected as Youth Hero for The LeadSA leading me to do a Youth development program assisting girls with sanitary towels and toiletries with Glam Girls Club. I am a hardworking individual, who believes in the growth of knowledge with no limitations. The reason as to why I enjoy being company to children is because I believe they are the future generation that we will all look to in making the world and Humanity a lot more successful than it is.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an au pair for 2 years when I came to the United States, I basically was a 3rd parent to both my families, one big family of 6 and one small family of 3. I have also had my own previous families need childcare in the afternoons after school and had 5 kids to watch over from 3 different families in the afternoon for a year before COVID started.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love swimming, going to the park, adventurous activities, reading and going to the library, seeing animals at the zoo or aquariums, drawing, coloring, painting, riding bikes, baking treats and playing dress up!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is to take your time getting to know a child, becoming their safe space, loving them throughout their growth, learning their love language and the barriers, as well as their boundaries and finding the best moments to have conversations that can help you create a well nourished platform for expression and embrace as they figure out who they are.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Was when I worked with an infant, I have a family I was taking care of a 2 year old at the time, mom was pregnant and I watched her grow beautifully, when the new baby came to this world I was blessed to take care of a new born which was the most magical moment for me as a person who had no kids and to see the beautiful newborn grow soo wonderfully from picking her head up, to her tummy time, crawling, and then walking and then running, seeing how her food changed from milk to solids to eating chicken and broccoli. It was just such an amazing experience
