More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

It mainly started after high school where I moved out and did a live in situation with a family that I knew for a while and in exchange for me living there, I had to take care of there three children. Two boys and one girl! I did that for about two years. I also worked at a gym called One Life Fitness down in Capitol Hill and I worked as a daycare worker and I worked there for about 3-4 years. As of right now, I take care of my boyfriend’s two nephews and baby niece!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’d definitely say playing games with them. I also love doing outdoor activities with them because it makes them happy and also makes me happy because I love seeing children play outdoors. Reading is another thing that I love to do with children especially since I am really into books so I get excited for that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids are safe and feel comfortable being around you. Make them feel like they can be themselves and just treat them well as if they were your own you know?

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with several children with special needs, it has been difficult for me but that was in the beginning. I ended up getting used to it after working at a gym’s daycare for almost 4 years in the past! I’d say taking care of kids with special needs is pretty much my strong suit.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I used to work in a daycare, there was this group activity I planned for the children and I was also new there so I was pretty nervous of how things would turn out because the kids were used to the other workers but as soon as I explained the activity to them and helped them out with everything, they had so much fun and I was genuinely so proud of that moment.
