More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I began volunteering in my mom’s preschool classroom which services neurotypical children as well as children with disabilities at the age of 15, and still volunteer currently. I have worked at DropZone Kidz in Southern Pines with children of various ages for 2 years, Scott’s Creek Elementary with kindergarten and 1st grade for 4 years, and I have also worked at multiple summer camps with a specialization in preschool-2nd grade children!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy a variety of both indoor and outdoor activities with children that encourage creativity, learning, and fun. Indoors, I love doing arts and crafts, reading books, building with blocks, baking simple treats, and helping with educational activities or homework. I also enjoy imaginative play that allows children to express themselves and develop their creativity.
Outdoors, I enjoy taking children to parks, playing sports and active games, and organizing fun activities that keep them engaged and active. As a young, energetic 21-year-old, I love being hands-on and creating positive experiences that help children feel happy, safe, and supported!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, valued, and cared for. I believe a nanny plays an important role in a child's life, not only by ensuring their safety but also by helping them learn, grow, and build confidence. It is important to be patient, dependable, and attentive to each child's individual needs while maintaining open communication with parents. I try my best to provide a fun and safe environment for the child while making mom and dads lives a little bit easier any way that I can! :)

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for special needs children in and out of the school setting. The children that I have cared for have mostly consisted of children with Autism- but I have also cared for children with PTSD, ADHD, ADD, and OCD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t think that I have one specific memory as there are far too many that I hold near and dear, but it always warms my heart whenever children that I work with have moved on to other endeavors see me and make a point to give me a big hug! I will always have a very special spot in my heart for every single child that I have worked with and will always love on them any chance I get- whether it’s a child that I work with currently or one that has gotten older and moved on!
