More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been blessed with the opportunities to care for children of all ages in many different capacities. I have been babysitting for many different families for the past 10 years, serving in church classrooms for around 5 years. I have been a full time nanny for about 3 years working with ages 0-8. I served in middle school youth groups and camps for about two years and worked as a residential assistant at a bible college for 9 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities definitely vary based on the age of the children, but I love getting kids of any age outside! Whether its just for a walk or picnic, or going to the park, riding bikes, and any other fun outdoor activities the area has to offer! Getting kids outside of any age offers so many benefits but it also just gives them a wider area to explore and grow which I love to see! I also love reading with kids of all ages if its short bedtime stories for the younger ones or a chapter book series with the older ones, reading is such a fun activity to help engage kids with imagination, reading and having some calm time throughout the chaos of life. Baking and working on crafts and projects that are age appropriate is also something I love to do! Its a great way to help teach kids new skills and engage them in a fun hands on activity!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is relationships with the family. It is obvious that with any nanny situation you want everyone to get along, but being a nanny you become part of the family and it’s important to me that it feels that way. Having open honest communication with parents is where that all starts in my opinion. Having good communication builds trust and as that trust builds the relationship grows and everyone feels more comfortable. It is also oh so very important to me that the family I work for can trust me and know that I will love and care for their children as if they were my own. Having someone trust you enough to put the care of their children in your hands is such an honor and a blessing. To me it is important that the families feel comfortable and at peace about leaving their kid(s) with me but also comfortable enough to openly talk to me about any concerns or worries they have.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with a few children in the foster care system who have dealt with some developmental delays due to drug and alcohol abuse. I used a lot if sign to help with speech delays and also attended meetings with social workers to provide the best care to help the children grow and develop at a pace best fit for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Wow, I have a lot of favorite nanny moments its hard to pick just one! Not necessarily a moment but the greatest reward I have experienced being a nanny so far is with my first nanny family, I haven’t worked for them in about 4 years but I have been blessed to still visit them and whenever we call the first question their kids ask is “Livy, when are you coming to see us again? We miss you!” They most definitely became like family and watching their children grow and become young kids with such bold personalities has been my absolute favorite! I love to see that with all the kids I nanny, knowing that I get a front row seat to that wether its only for a few months, a couple years or for the rest of their lives that will always be my favorite thing about nannying and the biggest blessing.

Hi! My name is Brooklyn and I'm originally from Long Beach, California. I grew up swimming, surfing, playing waterpolo, and doing junior lifeguards. I have plenty of experience with babysitting/nannying. I've coached and taught plenty of swim lessons and am currently an assistant coach working with kids from anywhere from 6 months to high school! I'm very reliable and organized and have great recommendations from many families. I have a reliable source of travel, with experience in carpooling to and from school or outside activities. I'm capable of cooking and cleaning and helping with homework or other projects. I have two dogs of my own and have a lot of experience with other pets so I'm very comfortable with that. I'm looking forward to working and being apart of caring for your children

Hi! I'm Danielle! I currently live in Philadelphia and work in biotech. My department was recently closed and I was laid off. I'm looking to take some time off from my normal work and do what makes me most happy, spending time with little ones!
I have been babysitting since I was 14, and most recently, have helped raise (live-in) my niece and nephew from the day they were born.

In my down time, I love dancing, trying to cook new healthy recipes, exploring and hiking. I do not smoke and I rarely drink.

I’m not currently CPR or first aid certified, but can certainly complete that prior to starting.

Excited to chat more!

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Koloa, HI: Elena D.

I am a kind, compassionate and caring person, born and raised in Massachusetts! I am the only girl out of my siblings with 3 brothers and I am Italian & Irish so naturally born into my role as babysitter with a huge family with over 30 cousins! I have over 10 years of experience working with children in multiple care settings and diverse environments. My last nanny job was a live-in position in Santa Cruz for a two year old girl, an amazing experience that brought me to Koloa, Hawaii for almost a year! I believe play and laughter are most important for a child's development, all while living and learning in a healthy and safe environment! I am looking forward to learning more about your children!
