Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked as a swim instructor for 4 years with all different ages of kids (toddlers being my favorite). I started baby-sitting when I was about 12 as many girls did. I am now 23 with a 5 month old daughter of my own.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love getting outside with kids and having them do different activities that use their mind but also their body. There is something special about how kids see the world so I always try to foster their imagination by playing different games such as dress-up. I also think that kids are a whole lot smarter than we give them credit for so I always like to include them in household tasks and let them try to problem solve. And as all parents know, kids have a lot of energy so anything we can do to get their bodies moving and burn some of that off is always a plus.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion there are two main things when being a nanny. The first being someone that the parents can trust and rely on. These kids are your whole world and the most important thing in it so having someone you trust is paramount. The second is being someone that the kids like and want too spend time with.
