More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I attended Yakima Foursquare for three years as an intern, and cared for many different age groups during Sunday services. I was in charge of the nursery all the way up to junior high classes, and regularly hosted snack time, worship time, and arts and craft activities.

From [phone number hidden], I have been in the professional school environment with ages 2-4 in the childcare setting. I handle diaper changes, meal and snack prepping, activity prepping and cleaning the classroom area and toys, as well as the general care and liability of the children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active with kids, and strongly believe they should be interactive with the world around them. Whether it’s going on a drive or taking them to the park, I love going outdoors! I also enjoy bringing out their creative sides and teaching them to use their imagination regularly, whether that be by games or during playtimes. I’m very passionate about helping children navigate through their emotions regularly, and to have someone to turn to when they’re in the process of choice making and developing their unique personalities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

In this time, the most important role as a nanny is ensuring proper safety precautions to the kids as much as possible. Many of these younger generations are growing up through COVID, and a nanny in this time is just as important as a friend. Keeping them safe, comfortable, and growing as a human is the most you can do for a family.

The one thing I’ve learned throughout caring for younger age groups is that these times in their life are extremely crucial to their later development, and being a nanny doesn’t mean just being a caregiver. The emotional connection to the child and the family is something that can’t be replicated nor faked, and the one thing I’d love to offer is genuine love and respect for your family and home!

My experience with special needs children...

I participated in an after school learning/homework program at Robinson elementary that actively helped kids after school hours to complete their tasks and practice how to communicate with their peers. Homework tutoring and recess time was also an amazing part of this opportunity for them!

Currently, I am employed in a behavioral classroom setting with non-verbal and neurodivergent children who have trouble communicating or using social skills. I’m able to make these children comfortable and understand their communications fluently.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve been an active house-sitter for two young boys ( 3 and 10 ), and though throughout watching them grow and mature for the six years I’ve been watching them, my favorite moments are always when they’re indulging in one of their hobbies and I can watch them and their progress through whatever the task is. For example, the 10 year old loves to build computers and animate, and he made a video game with the help of his younger brother. They came up with such a cool concept, and I was able to play the game with them on the computer they had put together!
