Hi! My name is Olivia and I am currently a freshman at North Carolina Wesleyan University.

Since I was 12 years old I have been babysitting infants and toddlers. Continuing through my adolescence I began to watch children of older ages. Continuing through my adolescence I began to watch children of older ages (up to 14 years old), and gained skills such as; housekeeping, cooking, pet sitting, and much more.

In recent years I have taken on a more nanny-like role with a family. In this role, I often watched 4 children for multiple nights. Being the sole caretaker for these children, I was responsible for their meals, homework, bath time, bedtime and much more. The longest period I have watched children for is a week while the mother was in Florida. This experience is what solidified my full confidence in caring for children over long periods of time.

Overall, my goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for any child under my care. Along with ensuring they are having fun!

In terms of a professional setting, I spent over a year working in childcare for the YMCA. With this, I would be watching dozens of children, from ages 3 months-12 years, with 1 or 2 other coworkers. This environment was stressful and chaotic at moments, but I never once doubted my ability to safely care for those children. I would also find and create age-appropriate activities for kids of all ages to allow a fun and exciting environment for everyone.
