More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered to be a teachers assistant. It was a program called PALS at my high school. I would help the teachers and the students. I worked with all age groups and worked with special needs kids. I even got to go play basketball or go to the playground with several of the children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing outdoor activities with children. I love going swimming and just playing outside. I like to play almost every sport, so I enjoy going out to play basketball or play catch. My favorite activity to do inside would have to be drawing or painting. Although I do enjoy a movie day or baking for fun.
My experience with special needs children...
I was in PALS through high school and I was also a cheerleader. PALS was basically a program to be a teacher assistant, but sometimes I would be able to go play with the kids. A few times I was allowed to go out with the special needs classes and play with them. In cheer we volunteered a lot to have events for the special needs kids. We helped cheer on the kids going to Special Olympics. We would preform cheer routines for the special needs children at my high school, plus a few elementary schools.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite funny memories of being a nanny this year. Was when Jace the 3 year old boy I nannied for, would ask me every day to go play baseball with him. These moments were funny because, after only 10 minutes of being outside he would ask to go back inside to watch Peppa Pig.
