Hi! My name is Olivia. I live in Big Flats/Arkdale area and am going to school at Mid-State Technical College where I will graduate spring 2024 with my Early Childhood Education degree. I have worked for 1 family as a nanny before but they are moving so I am looking for another family to meet! I have paid experience with children ages 12/mo-3 years old, but I have unpaid experience with children infant-8 years old! I am excited to meet new families who I can hopefully help out with childcare!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Within my education at Mid-State it is a requirement to participate in 4 practicum (student teaching) experiences, so I have been in a daycare setting with 3 1/2-4 1/2 year olds for a couple of semesters.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on adventures with the kiddos I watch, such as going to a park or a local library, or going to a petting zoo! But, I also like chills days at home playing with blocks/toys or outside coloring chalk or running in the sprinkler. One of my favorite things to do though is let them run wild with their imagination, wether that is filling up a bucket of water and letting them explore dirt and rocks or playing inside building forts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a relationship with every child that is being their caregiver, but also their friend and allowing them to be their true self around me.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most favorite memory that will last forever is when the youngest in a group of siblings I was caring for started dancing along to the "dance parties" we would have and mimicking the motions of their older sibling. Our favorite being the "Fishy song" which is a kids dance along song.
