My experience with special needs children...
I volunteered for 3 years with the organization back in Redondo Beach, CA called Friendship Foundation. In this organization, you’d be paired with a child on the spectrum (ranged anywhere from non-verbal, wheelchair to verbal and able-bodied - with a few triggers). This organization was beautiful and I loved the environment. I also have a younger brother who is on the spectrum, so I’m very comfortable!
