A little bit about me

I'm 25 years old and have a deep passion for both children and animals, particularly cats. I’ve had the privilege of rescuing and fostering over 30 cats, working closely with a local cat café in Upstate New York. My energetic, bubbly personality makes me great at connecting with children, and I thrive in multitasking and managing stressful situations. Currently, I nanny for four very active boys aged 12, 11, 9, and 4, including one with ADHD/ADD and another with high-functioning autism. This experience has strengthened my patience, creativity, and adaptability. I’m excited for the opportunity to bring my skills and positive energy to a new family. I also have a past in Criminal Justice at HVCC and graduated with an associate’s in Massage Therapy at Mildred Elley and recently acquired my Massage Therapy License in the NY.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve gained a lot of experience working with kids in various settings, and it’s been such a rewarding journey! Right now, I’m a nanny for four active boys, one with ADHD/ADD and another with high-functioning autism. I spend most of my time with the youngest toddler, and when the boys come home from school, it’s game on with all of them! I do light housekeeping and also transport one of the boys from school and sometimes to as well. I work on weekends and travel with the family when needed. Before this role, I worked as a respite worker for a 6-year-old girl with special needs. I spent a summer as a full-time nanny for a 1-year-old. I’ve also been an after-school care teacher when i was 17. Before that I helped my aunt run her home daycare from age 12 to 16, where I assisted with up to 12 kids at once. Each of these experiences has taught me how to manage different needs and keep things running smoothly while providing a fun, safe environment for the kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love finding ways to keep kids active, creative, and connected to the world around them! I’m always up for arts and crafts, whether it's painting, making friendship bracelets, or building something cool with clay. I also enjoy outdoor activities like throwing the baseball and softball around, going for walks, and bike rides. One of my favorites is adventuring through creeks and catching little critters because I believe it's so important for kids to engage with nature and learn about the living things around them. I also enjoy drawing and dancing, which is a great way for kids to express themselves, and I’m always up for a swim or a day at the beach. I love to mix things up, whether it's a creative indoor project or an outdoor adventure, keeping it fun while helping kids grow in different ways

The most important part about being a nanny...

As a nanny, the most important aspects of my role are trust and compassion. Building a strong foundation of trust with both the children and their parents allows me to create an environment where the children feel comfortable and safe enough to be open with me. This trust is essential for fostering healthy communication, as it ensures the children can express their needs and feelings freely, while also allowing parents to feel confident in my care. Compassion plays a key role in this dynamic, as it helps me understand and respond to the children's emotional needs, creating a nurturing atmosphere. Ultimately, my goal is to be a reliable, empathetic presence that supports the children's well-being and contributes to their growth and development in a way that aligns with the parents' values and expectations.

My experience with special needs children...

I am a current nanny for 4 boys, one of which has ADHD, ADD and one of which is high functioning autistic. I have also been a respite worker in the past for a special needs 6 year old girl.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when the child realizes that I’m always going to be there for them. It’s such a special feeling when they trust me not only with their safety but also as their best friend. Knowing that they feel supported, cared for, and loved makes everything worth it. I truly believe in helping them grow, be happy, and reach their full potential, and those moments when they know they can rely on me for all of it are the ones I treasure the most.
