A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Paloma, I am twenty years old and I am majoring in early childhood education! I have completed over fourteen credits so far and I plan to become a preschool teacher! I am CPR/ First Aid certified. I have worked in childcare for almost two years and I have experience with infants, toddlers, and elementary school age children as well! I was the director of children’s ministries at a church and I taught Sunday school there too! I have spent this last year as a Montessori teacher, working with children from ages 6 weeks - 6 years. I am dedicated to catering to the needs of every family I work with so that I can provide their child with the attention and care they deserve! I am open to a full time position and I have a very flexible schedule as well. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and feel free to message me if you have any other questions!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in a nursery with infants, at a preschool, as well as being a Sunday school teacher for children from ages 3-12!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to do any type of arts and crafts, as children learn so much through creative expression! I love outdoor play and imaginary play as well, as these are the building blocks for children as they grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is certainly the connection I foster with the children I work with. I always want the children I work with to feel safe and comfortable with me so I make an effort to go above and beyond to cater to their needs!

My experience with special needs children...

I have only worked with one special needs child who is on the spectrum and is non verbal, but my experience has been very limited.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are always when I get to spend time outdoors with the children I nanny, as I love seeing them explore and learning so much about the world!

I am a cheerful, positive and respectful person. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I am someone who loves the outdoors and believe that too much TV is never a good thing. Playing outside, playing games and encouraging children to use their imagination is something that I am passionate about. Growing up I always knew I wanted to work with kids. I started babysitting at the age of 15 and officially became a nanny at the age of 19. I have experience working with infants all the way up to the age of 10.
