Kids are forever full of surprises. They startle me with profound insight the day after they seemed more innocent and naive than others the same age. One of my favorite memories was of a preschooler and early elementary duo laughing and bubbly as we came inside after playing in the spring rain. We talked as we walked to the bathroom on the towel path, kids laughed the whole time they bathed, then they acted as if starting the washing machine was the best part of the day before we went to the kitchen to cook soup (from scratch) for lunch.
