I will be a senior at Colorado Mesa University pursuing a degree in elementary education, so working with children is something I’m passionate about personally and professionally.

I would love to find a family that is comfortable with me bringing my own child along while nannying. Honestly, the most important part about being a nanny is just really connecting with the kids and making sure they feel safe and cared for with you. It’s not just “watching them,” it’s being someone steady they can trust, especially when things get overwhelming or they’re having big feelings.

For me, it’s also about patience and showing up with a calm, positive energy—even on the hard days. Kids pick up on everything, so creating a space where they feel understood and supported makes the biggest difference.

And I love being part of their little routines and milestones too, like helping them learn new things and just being someone consistent in their world.

My experience with special needs children includes working in a special needs classroom during my classroom internship and field experiences while attending Colorado Mesa University. I also have personal experience through having a special needs cousin, which has helped me develop patience, understanding, and compassion.

My favorite nanny moments are seeing children grow more confident, helping them learn new things, and creating fun memories together through crafts, games, reading, and everyday routines. I especially love watching kids get excited about something new they’ve learned or accomplished.
