More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with kids of all ages! I was a basketball/soccer coach for almost two years when I worked in an after school program full of middle schoolers. At the same time, I created a small tutoring business on the side to help kids with their homework and assignments. My clients were often in elementary or in middle school. Growing up in church, I would help in the nursery and hold my own Sunday school classes with the kids!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing video games with children and helping them with homework. I also love reading books and sharing our thoughts together. A basketball or soccer game is something I am always up for!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Without a doubt, the most important thing of taking care of children is being a good role model for them. They see everything and do anything the adults do, more if they establish a special connection with them.
My experience with special needs children...
In terms of special needs, I have mainly worked with girls with Down syndrome. One was 10 years old and the other was 23 years old. They hold a very special place in my heart.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My funnest moments was them showing me their crazy dance moves and playing soccer/basket ball with them. They always said the most hilarious things and made me laugh even on my bad days.
