I am fun, engaging, responsible, high energy, and a great role model for children. I have worked with kids from a few months old to teenagers learning how to drive. I am outgoing and I love connecting with kids and learning about their lives. Doing art projects, science projects, and outdoor activities with children allows them to embrace the fun in their lives in a supervised and safe environment. I am a 4.0 student at Lehigh University and I am going to be a senior this coming fall 2023. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught English in 3 different primary schools, each in Thailand, Costa Rica, and Tanzania, Africa. I work very well with children, and especially so in an academic setting. I am patient, engaging, and I like to make learning fun. I also taught swim lessons every summer starting in [phone number hidden] to private clients, as well as clients who I have babysat for. I have taught kids as young as 2 years old to hold their breath underwater and float, as well as all the basic practices to be confident in water and eventually start swimming.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, arts and crafts, engaging at home science experiments (i.e. Slime, shrinky dinks, making eggs float, the simple chemistry of baking), meditation practice if the child is willing to learn, hide and seek, nature walks to collect flowers or cool leaves, sandbox play, and dress up

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with autism, aspergers, down syndrome, as well as children with severe confinements to wheelchair and need of extra special care. I ran a club for 4 years in highschool called Open Arms where we hosted events and activities to integrate children with disabilities into everyday school life. Within that club, I worked 8 hours a week learning about working with disabilities and how to approach care with love, kindness, and acceptance. I also participated in a program called Special Angels hosted through a local dance studio where I helped run dance classes with children with disabilities who loved to dance.
