A little bit about me

I am 55 years old. I am single.(divorced) I don’t smoke or drink. Have raised five sons .I was a nanny before getting married and having my own children. I love the outdoors. I’m all about hands on learning with children! I am a certified foster mom and was a licensed daycare provider until just recently moving to a new area where I hope to reopen again sometime .

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an art teacher and a gym teacher at a private school . I also ran a daycare from my home for 2 years for children 2months old to 12 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to sing , read stories and do crafts and cooking

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to care for and teach children to do things and give them positive influence is an important thing to me

My experience with special needs children...

I had a foster son who was mentally handicapped in 2007. I also was a nanny for a premature baby whom I had to do gavage feeding and different things like running oxygen etc. I also have a son who had cancer at age 8 and I had to run iv on him at home around the clock.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have soo many.. one that I often think of is a 5 yr old that I was in charge of would go "explore" in the car with me and we were on the road for awhile when he said he was "home sick" I told him we will stop at a roy rogers restaurant for lunch then go home.. we walked in the front door of this fast food place that was full of people at lunch rush and he again said he was "homesick".. I told him we wont be long.. as soon as I said that, he got sick..all over the floor! ugh!! he was CAR SICK! ..poor little guy. He is now all grown up and is a Cancer Dr. .. I love to see that the children grow up and have their own families and still keep in touch with me.
