A little bit about me

I’m a student, exploring life in somewhat of a nomadic manner looking to spend the winter (potentially longer) in this beautiful area. My experience with childcare started when my younger sister was born. She is 8 years younger than me, and as we grew up I developed a love for taking care of others.

With this, roughly 5 years ago I began working closely with a local family, providing care for their two children. I navigated scheduling and transportation while creating a productive and comfortable environment for their kiddos. As I developed these skills, my relationship with this family grew closer, and I found myself branching out to make new connections with other local families, where I was introduced to a variety of ages, health conditions, and personalities.

My home-base is in Northern California, and i’m looking to escape the cold this winter and have a new life experience!

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

my summer job, coaching mountain biking at Woodward, Tahoe. This gig is a dream job for me. I am lucky enough to work with awesome kids all day, and help them progress in my favorite sport in an uplifting summer camp environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

mainly involve outdoor recreation such as games, scavenger hunts, and simply getting creative with outdoor resources. I also love a good mellow afternoon of books and music if that’s what’s needed said day 🙃

is seeing what excites kiddos!

My experience with special needs children...

includes a young boy under the age of 8, helped me learn new approaches to behavior management, and the young girl of the family I worked with for 4+ years. She has a neurodegenerative disorder, which adds a level of complexity to her care.

was when I was nannying for one of my kiddos in a foreign country (getting to see new places together was an incredible experience) and he wrote I love U “Porshu” in the sand on a beach 😊
