I'm a fun, energetic person who likes to get out of my house, and try everything. Whether hiking 10 miles up a canyon, or lying in a field listening to birds, I love to be outside. Some other things I love are music/playing instruments, fixing tech, and using my telescope (which I'll happily let your kids look through if conditions allow).

I have about 8 years of experience in childcare. Not all as a nanny, but also volunteering at children's events at my library/museum/etc, teaching, supervising large groups at family/church/etc events, and more.
One of my siblings is autistic, and I took peer tutoring in school. I have a lot of experience with kids of all abilities, mental and physical.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to bring a few of my own activities to give kids the opportunity to try things that they otherwise might not be able to do. Some examples of what I might bring include instruments, crafts, magic tricks, keva planks, magnetic tiles, etc.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a ton of experience with special needs kids. I have a 17 year old nonverbal autistic sister who I help with many things throughout the day. About 8 years ago, I started working with other kids when I became a peer tutor at school. I volunteer at events for special needs kids, and work with as many kids as I can. I have experience with autism, Down syndrome, partial blindness and deafness, cerebral palsy, limb differences, epilepsy, g tubes, and more. I understand what kids need with little to no verbal communication, and I even know some sign language. I understand meltdowns, and can help kids get through them. I also have seemingly infinite patience, and will never get frustrated with anybody for taking longer, doing something different, etc.
