Hello ! My name is Quinn and I am from a small town in Manitoba. A little bit about myself is I love meeting new people and am always down for an adventure. I spent a year living in Maui Hawaii and then spent 3 month in Japan. I have a dream of one day opening up a Coffee Shop that creates common ground for people to gather. Some of my favourite things to do are swimming at the lake, bike rides, spending time with friends and family, volunteering as a youth leader at my local church as well as serving in a young adult mininstry. I also love playing volleyball. Something I value a lot is my faith and living an active lifestyle. My personality is very gentle yet outgoing. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

A few activities I enjoy doing would have to be the following:

- I love getting outside, whether its a trip to the park or the zoo I really enjoy getting out and exploring.

- I enjoy baking and involving the kids in day to day life so they learn new skills.

- I'm not super skilled but I love doing anything musical, whether it's singing, dancing, playing instruments etc.

- Reading books and making crafts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think what matters most is building a genuine relationship with the kids and family, as well as creating good communication.

As a nanny you are an addition to the family and for me my intent is to never be a replacement, rather be an addition that helps the family so life can feel a bit easier and lighter.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with kids who have low functioning autism, as well as children with down syndrome. I am comfortable working with special needs, however I don't have a ton of experience.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I spent a summer nannying two siblings over the summer. I think they were 9 and 6 at the time. One rainy day we decided to watch the movie "Yes Day". If you haven't seen the movie, it's pretty much about these kids who convince their parents to say Yes to anything and they end up going on a fun adventure.

The girls loved this movie so much, they begged me for the next week to have a real life yes day. With the parents consent, we we ended up living out a real Yes day and it was so much fun because we did so many fun/ elboarte things for no reason. It had me step out of my comfort zone in many ways, but it was so memorable i'm glad we did it. To this day me and the girls still talk about it and I will always cherish that day.
