My experience with special needs children...
My sister has autism so I always felt a special connection to people with special needs, I was a teacher for a special education religious school class for 2 years and an assistant in that class for 3 years prior. I spent 20 hours a week for a year and a half assisting in my highschool's special needs gym class. I have some learning disabilities so I had to figure out how to do the same classwork as everyone else using different methods and I love sharing with others because I know how hard it was to figure out tricks that helped me and if I can share them with someone else so they don't have to go through the struggle of learning by themselves that would make me very happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love seeing when things click for kids in their heads and they now understand something they didn't before and you see that little glimmer in their eye like they're the smartest person in the whole world now.
