Hi! My name is Rachel.

I have been in the helping profession for over 10 years in various ways. I worked as a counselor for people with mental health issues and substance abuse issues for about 6 years.

I moved into caregiving for people with intellectual, mental and developmental disabilities for a few years. I recently began work with children with disabilities at a school as a one on one aid.

I was raised around people with disabilities and have a passion for improving their lives however I can. My brother and father both have autism and my mother is considered an autism expert.

I am CPR and first aid certified. I also have training in right response techniques for de-escalation as well as nonviolent crisis intervention training.

I do well with high behavior, clients that are difficult for most people. I seem to have a way of understanding and helping them.
