A little bit about me

I'm the oldest in a small family but am grandchild number 32. I love swimming, dancing, making connections with people and creating memories. I adore baking and cooking as well!

I am a strong supporter of the home and believe it is the most important unit in society!!

As such I am wanting to graduate UVU with a degree with family sciences and possibly go into occupational therapy which would include helping people with anxiety, depression, ptsd and memory loss create routines and help them to learn the necessary skills for life. Such as , brushing they're teeth, meal prep, learning how to re tie shoes or button their shirts. 🧡

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

- Cartaker for 10, 2 year old children at kindercare. Helping them included providing meals, regular snack times, play time( which often included playing with bubbles and playing outside, with water days being on Friday ect), and sleep routine with calming music as well as as reading books.

- Girls camp leader

- elementary school teachers aid

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Exploring outside/taking them to the park, blowing bubbles, doing sidewalk chalk art and building with blocks, and reading books!
I also am a strong believer in creating opportunities to learn such as baking where they get to create something, learn how to clean up and can practice fine motor skills.

Also making sure they get some water time to stay cool and happy in the summer. 😉😁

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a nurturing environment including trust, joy, safety and work. Teaching good principles in the home such as kindness, forgiveness, sharing, saying kind works such as please and thank you, and helping eachother.

My experience with special needs children...

I signed up for a time with best buddies in high-school and took care of destiny. I would help her stay focused in class while also using doodling and coloring as an outlet. Making sure there was clear communication with the teachers and helping her to not get over stimulated by sound, and helping emotional regulation by providing outlets and just listening.

I have two cousins who are autistic so I am familiar 💜

The most important part about being a nanny...

When the sweetest little boy named Finnick (2 years old) would coo and happily clap his hands whenever I would blow bubbles in class.

He had a broken leg at the time in so I created bubble time so he would be able to enjoy entertainment while feeling included with the rest of the kids.😁🥰
