A little bit about me

Hello Auburn, and War Eagle! I am a new resident of Auburn, and I live just a short walk from the Montessori school. I would love to help in taking your kids to/from school, help with homework, and anything else you may need before super time. I am also available for all day nannying of any kiddos not in school. I’ve had lots of experience babysitting, for my younger siblings, pastors children, and other families at our church as well as families at my high school. I’m good with kids, and love to help them do fun and creative things! From coloring to zoo trips for the kids, and light cleaning and cooking for you, I feel called to serve and one day hope to be an elementary school teacher.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with the church nursery as a volunteer at Red Mountain Church in Birmingham, AL. I also volunteered with The Dance Foundation in Homewood, AL to help with their spring recitals for 3 year olds to 3rd graders for several years. I was also stage manager for several theatrical productions in high school, helping keep everyone ages 12-18 on task, without injury, and organization.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My sister is almost 10 years younger than me and I grew up with a lot of babysitters and two Nannies(at different times), so while I am just now starting out, I have some awesome ideas! From simple baking & healthy meal ideas to trips to the zoo, park, movies, the pool, and everything in between- I’m up for anything! If your kids prefer playing inside, building forts, reading books, building blocks, train sets, and playing pretend, I am more than happy to do those things as well. Whatever your kids like doing, I am ready to play along.

The most important part about being a nanny...

First and foremost- keep kids safe! No matter the situation, safety is the biggest priority. After that, keeping kiddos happy and entertained- or doing homework/chores as the case may be!

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have any, but am willing to learn if that is something you feel comfortable with!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I haven’t been a nanny, but as a 20 year old, I have reached the age many of my babysitters and nannies were when they took care of me. I have lasting connections with several of those who watched after me as a small child, and I think that is my favorite part of the Nanny experience. My whole family went to one Nanny’s wedding, and we visited another in NYC! Being able to connect with people and make lasting connections is something I am definitely looking forward to!
