"Where to even begin with all the reasons we love Rachel, and are very sad that she has moved out of state. I really appreciated how she immediately got right in there with our 5 month old daughter, and was not shy when it came to establishing a safe connection between them. She often took our daughter out of the house on little adventures, and always sent photos + updates through the day so we knew what was going on. At the end of the day she would send a summary of the day: nap times, food intake, bottle drinking etc. It is very clear that she truly loves caring for babies, and I always felt that my kid was in the best of hands."

"We found Rachel when searching for alternatives to daycare because the waitlist was so long. We’re honestly so happy that it worked out that way. The care and individualized attention that Rachel gives to our baby is amazing. She started with our family when our baby was 3 months old and I truly believe Rachel helped our baby reach the developmental milestones on time or early. She is patient, warm, considerate, calm and imaginative. She finds and/or creates activities to practice motor skill and sensory development. Rachel is communicative, open and trustworthy. She sends us notes from the day as well as pictures throughout the day to keep us involved (which was so appreciated to feel like I’m not missing out). Our baby has developed such a strong bond with rachel. I know we’re all so sad to be moving on to the day care chapter. I wish we still had more time with rachel because she really is such a wonderful nanny and employee. I value her suggestions. I definitely recommend her."

"Rachel was our first ever non-family member watching our first child. It was a super nerve wracking experience to find someone we trusted. The moment Rachel walked into our home for a meet and greet, I was immediately at ease. She is one of those people that you just trust right off the bat due to her kind, calm, and caring demeanor. Our daughter (11 months at the time) absolutely loves her. Rachel sings to her, reads with her, and one time even brought some new special toys for her to play with (that I could tell we’re carefully selected and developmentally appropriate based on Rachel’s breadth of experience). Rachel sends thoughtful updates - just enough to let you know that everything is going smoothly. Not only is Rachel so great with our daughter, but she is an absolutely amazing and kind person who goes above and beyond to make you feel cared for and comfortable."

"Rachel is the absolute best nanny I could have ever asked for! From the first moment I talked to her, I knew she would be an amazing fit for our spirited baby; Rachel has such a kind, calm demeanor that is so comforting both for infants and for their parents. Her knowledge and compassion are unparalleled, and her love for babies shines through in everything she does. From the start, my baby girl was so comfortable with her, and I have always trusted that my baby will be safe and loved in Rachel's care. Rachel always comes to our home with new toys for our baby to engage in, and she plans such enriching activities that keep my highly alert baby happy and learning new things. Any family would be lucky to have Rachel as part of their baby support team!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In addition to being an infant nanny, I have previously worked with children with special needs as an activity therapist and as a casework supervisor serving children in state care. I have also taught mommy and baby yoga classes and taught homeschool co-op classes as a homeschooling parent.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going for walks and to the park or spending time in the backyard with babies on a blanket weather permitting. Sharing and creating developmental toys and activities such a sensory play to encourage working towards milestones. Reading lots of stories at home, introducing music, and teaching baby signs! Lots of tummy time, baby yoga exercises and giving infant massages! :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

is to keep the baby safe, well-rested and well-fed, so they can begin to focus on learning and development.

Also, to communicate well with the parents and work as a team to make sure we are on the same page, and the child is being cared for in accordance with the parents individual parenting style and wishes for their child.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for babies with colic, reflux, thrush, sensitive skin, food allergies, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is every day when I go to work and the parents hand me their precious infant to care for. I feel like the most fortunate person to be able to care for infants just coming into this world, and help them feel safe and secure and cared for. And when parents are able to relax and feel confident that their baby is in good hands, that makes my day! Seeing happy babies and happy parents is the best feeling ever.
