Though I say I have less than a year of "paid" babysitting, I have been babysitting for over ten years, both for my family and other relatives. I do not have experience with special needs children, though I love to help people. I am the oldest of nine children. I am not an expert, and the only CPR and first aid official training I have is from girls camp a few years back, and I don't remember some of it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I think the important thing is to love people. Children are sometimes looked upon as annoying burdens in this world, when each one is really a great blessing, and a priceless treasure. They help us, even as we help them. I love teaching children, and seeing their eyes light up with understanding at something new. I want to help others.
