My experience with special needs children...
I bring valuable experience in caring for special needs children, having previously nannied a boy with Prader-Willi Syndrome and another with autism. In the latter case, I collaborated closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and ABA therapists to provide comprehensive support. This hands-on experience has equipped me with the patience, adaptability, and skills necessary to create a nurturing environment for the unique needs of special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when a child I formerly nannied said my name for the first time. He has autism, and was considered semi-nonverbal. This was a big deal for us, and it felt like all of the consistent, difficult work that we had been doing was beginning to pay off.
