Having a genuine love for children. It is so important to have someone that will truly enjoy their time with your children and not want to sit on their phone.
My experience with special needs children...
While my experience with special needs children is light, I feel that I have the proper qualities necessary to work well with them. In high school, I would occasionally volunteer at my church's program, "Special Saturdays". This was a monthly day camp for children with special needs designed to give parents a morning respite. I always enjoyed my time there and getting to know the campers.
