More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In 2021 I got my CNA (certified nursing assistant) license. Making me CPR and first aid certified. This last year 2022 I took a health education class class that went over CPR, but did not give me the certification. I have babysat a few families with multiples kids in a home. The most was 4 kids at once and they were all 3 or under. I volunteered coaching a 12 and under summer softball league. I have also watched babies and kids for some family when they are around.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to be outside, I played all the sports I could growing up. Softball, soccer, track, cheer, competitive cheer, power tumbling, and a couple years of basketball. I like to swim. I also love crafts, any drawing, painting etc. I also enjoy board games and video games. Mostly anything I just like to stay busy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
First making sure the parents are comfortable and know that their babies are in good hands. Second would be making sure the kids are safe, but can enjoy their time with me.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some family that have special needs that I have been around. My grandma was also a special needs Pre-K teacher. When I was younger I went to her classroom a couple times and helped her out. She also told me many neat things about how to help special needs kids, like how to help them calm down. About how smart they really were compared to the credit they were given.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment is when you have finally grown a bond with the child. When they don't want you to leave and how excited they are to see you when you come back. I think that is one of the best feelings.
