Hi!

My name is Raegen and i’m looking for a full time summer nanny position. I have been a full time summer nanny for the past 2 years. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old, and I also work for a start up babysitting company based in Cincinnati while I am away at college. I have a lot of experience with all different ages 0-12, as well as special needs children.

I am a very easy going and energetic person. I genuinely like kids and love my job, working with them is something I am very passionate about!

My CPR certification has expired but I would be more than happy to become certified again if that is something you need!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

All children have different hobbies and interests, so I try to cater and adjust specifically to what each child enjoys. Some things I personally love to do with kids is reading, going on walks, going to the park, painting, drawing, playing pretend, etc. I love being active with kids and I think that it’s important for them to get up and move around, but also have some down time as well. Whether that looks like reading a book, or just hanging out and watching a movie to wind down. Although I do try to keep screen time to a minimum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The number one priority will always be overall safety. Besides that, I think keeping a child happy, well fed, and active are the three most important aspects. It’s really important to build a strong relationship with the child/children in order to gain respect and trust. I personally think just keeping the house just as clean/cleaner than when you came is important as well.

My experience with special needs children...

Over the past 2 years I have been in college I have had experience with special needs children ages ranging from 1-7.I am a very relaxed and patient person in general, and I work very well with kids on the autism spectrum. I am personable which helps kids feel more comfortable with me, and I am a very creative thinker. Creative thinking is really important to me and it has been super beneficial in problem solving situations, I can diffuse a situation or meltdown very well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when the little girl I was nannying for drew a picture of us standing together holding hands under a rainbow, and wrote “you are pretty i like you” at the top. It is so simple, but I think that is so adorable and it melts my heart. It also makes me feel good that the kids I care for actually like me because that’s t such an important aspect of the job.
