Hi!! My name is Raeleigh i’m 15 and a half , I have my permit and i’m just counting down the days to get my license!! I’ve been applying at various restaurants and stores but haven’t had any luck due to my age. I worked for another family from this website all summer and i’m lined up to work for them next summer as well, they ended up loving me and they have the best kids, i worked monday-thursday 6am-5pm and really enjoyed my job, im still struggling to find a restaurant job or retail since im not 16 but i will be october 30th! im looking for school schedule flexibility, I get out of school at 2:45 and don’t make it home until 3:30. My mom is my transportation (extremely reliable i’ve never missed a day at work) and she doesn’t get home from work until 4 so starting my work day at 5 would be great and i’m available until 10:30 on school nights, this job will help me pay for my insurance, car payment, gas, and basic nesssites that i can’t provide myself with now!! I babysat 2 kids under the age of 10 all summer , a girl that was 9 and a boy that was 4 we had so much fun and it gave me so many new opportunities to learn for future experiences, i love this line of work especially for being a teen!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts , taking them for walks or bike rides , playing with chalk or doing board games and baking together, it’s nice to put on educational shows on rainy days, puzzles are great, I’ll do whatever activities they do and introduce them to more !

The most important part of being a nanny is loving your job and loving the kids you work with like your own, when i first started this i didn’t know much about what i was getting myself into but i absolutely loved my job and looked forward to it every morning rather than dreading it , id with out a doubt say the most important part of this work is being patient and loving what you do!

my favorite nanny moment definitely had to be when the little boy I watched this summer started telling me he loved me , he was very hesitant about a babysitter at first but the family welcomed me with open arms, another good moment was when we painted rocks for their parents !! for my last day i baked a delicious banana bread too!!
