I have over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. As a licensed teacher, I have worked with children from birth through age 5. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership.

I have extensive knowledge of child development, including developmentally appropriate practices, developmental red flags, learning exceptionalities/special needs, and early intervention methods.

I am pediatric/adult first air, CPR and BLS certified. Exceptional references are available upon request.

Prior to providing full-time private childcare, I worked as an early childhood educator public, private, and public schools for a combined 15 years. I also currently work as an educational consultant and early childhood educator mentor.

Rooted in the Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy of teaching and learning, I engage children of all ages in hands-on, open ended art and play experiences and music and movement activities both indoors and outdoors.

I place a high value on language and literacy development, especially with infants and toddlers. Screen time is extremely rare in my interactions with children, as I strongly believe that children learn best through play and hands-on experiences while exploring and engaging with their environment.
