Outside of babysitting and nannying I have experience working on a US flagged ship where I was taught how to maintain my composure under emergency situations. As well as having volunteer experience working at a church daycare with about twelve 2-5 year olds at a time.

Typically I will provide coloring books, scratch coloring pages, chalk, bubbles, books, and other fun activities ranging from fun outside to rainy days inside. I also am happy to keep engagment high by going on a hands-on adventures into the "wilderness"(park trips, backyard pretend play, and any pre approved outtings.)

I think the most important part of being a nanny is remembering that children are simply young people who are still learning and growing. Their brains and emotions are developing, and they need patience, guidance, and support to help them navigate that process.
