More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While being a sibling doesn’t really count in the eyes of most people, I am the second oldest of 7 and that’s just to start. My experience with children started at 15 when I started babysitting for all the families in my church congregation, including a family with twins and one with 6 children under 10. I also have experience with a special needs nephew, whom I’ve watched over night several times. Currently, I have a 5 year old step daughter at home who’s vibrant and full of creative energy. She keeps me on my toes and has made me yearn for nurturing young minds again. I genuinely enjoy interacting with and aiding in the mental development of children, I hope you can consider me to care for your little ones (:

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking my little one in the backyard or the park when weather permits but when we can’t crafting can never be the wrong answer. Hide and go seek is an oldie but a goodie. I try my best to steer clear of devices unless permitted by parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A couple days before Christmas, myself and the 3 kids from my second nanny job had an eventful day full of coloring, making construction paper garlands for the tree, we went and looked at neighbourhood decorations on a walk, and baked cookies as a surprise for their mom when she came home from work. As I was cleaning up dinner, I thought to myself it’s awfully quiet. I turned around and all 3 kiddos were sleeping on the couch together with the popcorn bowl still in their laps. It was just the cutest thing I’d ever seen. I miss those kids all the time!
