A little bit about me

I’m a 21yr old student at Embry-Riddle. I grew up around lots of younger cousins and have experience babysitting for family friends as well as church families throughout high school. I also worked at a pediatric chiropractic office focused on neurological regulation, where I gained experience working with children of different ages and needs.

Growing up with my aunt, who has spina bifida, and navigating dyslexia myself has made me very patient, understanding, and adaptable. I enjoy creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for kids while being dependable and responsible. I’m happy to help with routines, playtime, and light household tasks as needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m pretty easygoing and love finding activities that match each child’s personality and interests. I enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities that keep kids active, creative, and having fun. Growing up in a very active family, I’m always happy to play outside, go on walks, play sports, do crafts, build forts, or come up with games that get kids moving and engaged.

One of my favorite memories from childhood was playing indoor flip-flop sock baseball with my babysitter, so I love creating those kinds of fun, memorable experiences for kids too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, supportive environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. Every child is different, so building trust, being patient, and adapting to their individual needs is really important to me. I also believe childhood should be fun, active, and encouraging, so I try to create an environment where kids feel cared for, heard, and able to learn through everyday experiences.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs through my time at a pediatric chiropractic office focused on neurological regulation. Part of my role involved helping children feel comfortable in the office and keeping them engaged while their parents discussed care plans with the doctors. I also assisted in exterior nervous system scans, requiring me to help children be calm and relaxed in order to get accurate results.
